Ham Tin Wan is located within Sai Kung East Country Park and is one of the four beaches that make up the “Four Bays of Sai Kung.” In recent years, it has been designated by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department as an official camping site in Hong Kong. Known for its clear waters and fine sand, Ham Tin Wan lies close to Sai Wan and is often visited together with it. A weathered wooden bridge connecting to the beach is one of Ham Tin Wan’s distinctive landmarks.

Ham Tin Wan is not a beach under the jurisdiction of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, so there are no lifeguards on duty. The sea is also quite rough, so extra caution should be taken when engaging in water activities.
The route is of medium to long length, and most sections are relatively open, so you should take adequate precautions against sunburn.
