Malham Cove is located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in northern England. It is a spectacular limestone cliff shaped like a natural amphitheatre. The cliff has a vertical height of about 79 metres, and its top is covered by an extensive limestone pavement formed through long-term erosion. Its distinctive pattern of cracks is extremely rare in England, which is why it has been used as a filming location for the Harry Potter film series. In addition to Malham Cove, the nearby gorge of Gordale Scar and the enchanting waterfall Janet’s Foss are also not to be missed, together forming a scenic and varied hiking route.
