Angel of the North is a public contemporary sculpture, located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear of England. The sculpture is completed by Antony Gormley in 1998. It stands 20 meters tall with a wingspan of 54 meters, weighing 208 tons, it is the largest public art work in England.
