Yi Tung Shan literally means “second east mountain” in Chinese, it lies between Sunset Peak and Lin Fa Shan on Lantau Island and is 747m high. A number of stone houses erected in the highland between Yi Tung Shan and Sunset Peak, is called “Lantau Mountain Camp”. It is also a great place to watch the golden seas of silvergrass in autumn and winter.

The best period for silvergrass viewing is from late October to early November. The trail is very crowd in this period.

The path from Lantau Mountain Camp to Yi Tung Shan is unclear.

No litter bin in the trail. Leave no trace by bringing your own litters away.

Do not climb the stone houses on Lantau Mountain Camp as the roofs of the stone houses are fragile.
